Despite the growing adoption of low-code approaches in the software industry, their integration into academia remains challenging. Our exploratory survey identified a lack of teaching materials and tool support as key barriers to incorporating low-code and Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) topics into university curricula. To address this gap, we explore the use of BESSER, a low-code platform to support educators, students, and researchers in teaching, learning, and experimenting with low-code development. We also provide a set of ready-to-use educational resources designed for academic and hands-on learning. Finally, we demonstrate the practical application of the platform and our educational resources through the design and development of a low-code Ph.D. course at the University of Luxembourg.
